Fair Play & Terms of Service
Matchkoo is built on respect, genuine football passion, and equal opportunity. These terms govern your gameplay, predictions, virtual economy, and real prize redemptions.
1Acceptance & Eligibility
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Matchkoo platform (including web, mobile, and API interfaces), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use immediately.
Matchkoo is free-to-play. Users must be at least 13 years of age (or the legal age required in your jurisdiction) to participate in match predictions and social features. Users claiming physical prizes or gift cards must comply with local tax and import regulations where applicable.
2The Matchkoo Fair Play Pledge
Matchkoo was created to celebrate true football fans. Every player is guaranteed an honest, transparent, and level playing field:
- One Person, One Account: Each user is entitled to exactly one account. Creating duplicate accounts or farm networks to manipulate rankings, referral bonuses, or team votes is strictly prohibited.
- Transparent Scoring: Official match statistics and scoring events are parsed automatically from certified global sports data feeds.
- Immutable Kickoff Lock: Predictions lock unconditionally the moment a match kicks off. No predictions can be edited or cancelled post-kickoff unless a valid Wildcard boost was activated beforehand.
3Match Predictions & Scoring Rules
Points and XP are calculated following each match settlement:
- Regular Time Settlement: Unless explicitly noted for tournament knockout phases, all match result and exact score predictions reflect regular playing time plus stoppage time (90+ minutes). Extra time and penalty shootouts only count if stated in specific special tournament markets.
- Postponed & Abandoned Matches: Matches postponed by more than 48 hours or abandoned before the 75th minute without an official ratified result will be voided, and any active boosts applied to that match will be returned to the player’s inventory.
- Streak Multipliers: Consecutive correct outcome predictions build active Streaks that award bonus XP. Incorrect outcome selections reset the current streak unless protected by an applicable shield boost.
4Virtual Economy (ɌØ Coins) & Prize Redemption
Matchkoo features a dual-metric gamification economy: Experience Points (XP) and ɌØ Coins.
- Non-Monetary Nature: XP and ɌØ Coins are non-transferable virtual loyalty tokens with no intrinsic monetary cash value outside the Matchkoo platform. They cannot be sold, traded for real money, or transferred between accounts.
- Prize Shop Vouchers: Verified players who accumulate sufficient ɌØ Coins may redeem available items (e.g. digital vouchers, official football kits, branded merchandise) subject to stock availability and regional shipping feasibility.
- Anti-Fraud Verification: To safeguard the community against abuse, prize redemptions are reviewed by our trust & safety team. Matchkoo reserves the right to request proof of identity before dispatching high-value rewards.
5Anti-Cheating, Botting & Prohibited Actions
To maintain competitive integrity, the following activities are considered severe violations and will result in immediate disqualification and permanent ban:
6Mini Leagues & Community Conduct
Mini Leagues allow users to host private tournaments with customized scoring and member lists. League creators and members must uphold respect, sportsmanship, and civil communication. Hate speech, harassment, vulgar mini-league titles, or offensive team names are strictly forbidden.
7Intellectual Property & Trademarks
Matchkoo, the Matchkoo logo, visual badges, custom UI assets, and gamification mechanics are the proprietary property of Matchkoo Inc. Club names, logos, tournament crests, and player likenesses referenced on the platform are used strictly for editorial, informational, and identification purposes under fair use doctrine and remain the property of their respective trademark holders.
8Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Matchkoo makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted uptime, data feed latency, or third-party telecommunication disruptions. In no event shall Matchkoo be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from gameplay or prize logistics beyond the nominal value of the disputed reward.
9Account Sanctions & Termination
Matchkoo reserves the right to suspend, reset leaderboard rankings, void fraudulent XP/ɌØ, or permanently delete accounts found violating these terms, engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct, or attempting system exploits.
